Following the development, Nigerians have reacted and some asked why Mr Macaroni was not among those that visited the Nigerian Vice President.
In swift reactions to that, Mr Macaroni have told why he was not among those that visited the Vice President. In a lengthy post on social media, he Ace comedian wrote;
Honestly, I’ve tried so hard not to say anything about this issue but I have seen some comments and conclusions that do not really sit well with me. My conscience will not allow me to keep mute. So I have to say what I know for my conscience and posterity.
First, I do not think there’s an association of Skit Makers, if there is then I don’t know anything about it. And would be fines because I’m an actor/thespian before the “Skit Makers”.
So I don’t think those that went to see the VP without me or anyone else meant to sidelines me. I want to believe they were invited to see the VP by an organisers of an award ceremony the same way I was invited. The only difference is that I declined the invitation.
The reason I declined is simple. As a citizen, I’m not happy with our leaders and I do not want to associate with them. It’s okay if others think that sitting with the Government will change certain things and try them out. I don’t think they should be crucified for that.
