The University of Otago Scholarship provides funding to support doctoral students studying at the University of Otago.The Scholarship is available to both domestic and international students. Candidates for professional doctorates, as well as the PhD, are welcome to apply.
On the Senate’s suggestion, the University Council of the University of Otago grants doctoral scholarships to candidates enrolling in a program of supervised PhD study there.

For the academic year 2023–2024, the University of Otago Doctoral Scholarships are accepting applications from international students who wish to pursue a PhD at the university in Otago, New Zealand.The Scholarships will pay a stipend of NZ$28,600 annually and waive domestic tuition for 36 months (excludes student services fee and insurance).

Professional Doctorates (DClinDent, DMA, DBA, EDd)–NZ$28,600 stipend per annum plus a tuition fee waiver for up to 36 months capped at the domestic rate (excludes student services fee and insurance).
