Nigeria Driver’s Licence – The Nigeria Driver’s Licence is an important driving document the Nigerian Government issue to any Nigerian who have driving experience.
WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES OF NIGERIANS THAT CAN APPLY
There are three categories of applicants before issuance of Driver’s Licence to Nigerian by the Nigerian Government. Any Nigerian who want to be a holder of the driving document would fall in either of the category.

1. New Applicants: This category is for applicants applying for the driving document for the first time. In this category, applicants are required to have completed to prerequisite before applying. The two prerequisite includes;
. Applicant must be 18 years and above
. Applicants must have completed driving school
2. Renewal Applicants: Applicants in this category who have a valid driver’s Licence may apply for and obtain a renewal at any time from 30 days before the expiration of the licence. Applicants can apply for the form online, make payment, confirm payment at the board or internal revenue, proceed to VIO for test and visit FRSC Driver’s Licence Center for bio-metric capturing.
3. Reissue: A re-issue Driver’s Licence can be reissue if the licence is illegible, defaced, lost or stolen. The applicants can apply to the FRSC authority provided the conditions below are met;
. Obtain Police extract stating particulars of the loss, damaged or defacement
. Swear an affidavit stating the fact of the loss
. Pay the prescribed fee

DRIVER’S LICENCE PROCESS BEFORE ISSUE
. Applicant should complete driver’s Licence application form online
. Visit VIO for driving test
. Pay the Licence online or at the bank
. Confirm payment at the state BIR office
. Proceed to the FRSC office at the DLC for bio-metric data capture
. Visit VIO/DLC/MLA and present your application or temporary card to pick up your original licence card
