West Ham still reportedly owe £3.5million to CSKA Moscow for signing Nikola Vlasic from them in the summer of 2021.
According to ExWHUemployee [22 April], Torino are now doubting whether or not they want to sign the Croatia international on a permanent basis.
They have the option to buy as the Hammers have loaned the 25-year-old out and they want to cash in on him as soon as possible.
It’s understood that his sale will fund the remaining money the London club owe to the Russian side.
Get it done
The Vlasic signing is a perfect example of where the Hammers are as a football club and they need to stop making such blunders.
They only signed him because they failed to get Jesse Lingard over the line and to think a Premier League flop will be better than one of the most in-form players in the league, is wishful thinking.
There was no reason to sign Vlasic for such big money and now, even when he’s not playing for them, it’s still biting the club.
Hopefully, they sort this mess out sooner rather than later as it’s not an ideal situation for anyone and even the 25-year-old would rather be out quickly.
West Ham have glaring issues on hand as they do look to avoid relegation but they have to make decisions on the future of David Moyes as well.
Mauricio Pochettino’s name has been thrown into the mix recently, but the chances of that happening are unlikely with him seemingly off to Chelsea.
