At the Ford Foundation, we believe justice begins where inequality ends.
We support organizations that address the underlying drivers of inequality and align with our programmatic work around the world.
Every year, we award roughly 1,500 grants to institutions with transformative ideas and scalable solutions that we believe will lead to a more just and equitable future. We also award a limited number of grants to individuals, primarily through our fellowships, building on our legacy of investing in leaders.
The majority of our grants are identified by the foundation with the aim of achieving the greatest impact. We do not accept unsolicited grant proposals. Each program has its own strategy and comprehensive selection process.
However, there are a limited number of programs or projects that are open to funding requests based upon a formal request for proposal or application process. Please see below the current programs or projects that are requesting submissions.
