In addition to our 21 current country programs, our investments in community-driven development through our Off-Grid Renewable Energy and Entrepreneurship and Job Creation portfolios have impacted lives and livelihoods in 40 African countries.

How do I apply to ASBC?

Start by answering the following questions:

Are you a small business operating in at least one of these countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Uganda, Nigeria?

Is your business in one of the following sectors: agriculture & food security, education, healthcare, and water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH)?

Have you been actively engaged in running this or other businesses in Africa for 2 or more years?

Does your business have a written accounting procedure manual?

Do you have financial management accounts for the business for the last 2 years?

Do you operate a bank account for the business transactions?

Is your business formally registered/incorporated according to local laws?

Does your business have majority African ownership?

Does your business have any women in senior positions in the company (management or board)?

Are you seeking debt capital for growth?

Do you have enough assets and equity to support a loan of USD $100,000 or more?

Are you struggling to obtain adequate funding from local banks or other investment partners?

Do you need technical support with the development of your business model, product, management training, or other key areas of your business?
